Three main roads in Norfolk were closed yesterday (Wednesday, January 18) following three separate collisions in the west of the county and near Norwich. The A1122 in Downham Market reopened early this morning and the A47 at Honingham reopened yesterday. The A134 Lynn Road was also closed between A1122 Downham Road, Stradsett and B1160 Wereham but reopened.
The A1122 was closed for some time whilst forensic investigators worked at the scene.
The collisions come after four people died in road traffic collisions in west Norfolk over the weekend; three people died in a collision on the A47 near King's Lynn and one person died on the A47 near Wisbech. Police issued a plea yesterday for motorists to take extra care as the roads become icy in the low temperatures.
